Newsweek's technology editor, and father in search of scholarships to fund his son's college education, provides a critical review of FastWeb -- the web's largest scholarship database. Most, but not all, of his complaints match my experience. The two most valid in my experience are 1) the excessive amount of advertising you have to wade through to get to the scholarships, and 2) the large quantity of 'promotional' (i.e. bogus) scholarships listed. Sifting through all this chaff is really time consuming to find the handful of worthwhile scholarships.
